We are seeking an associate with up to 10 years of experience (okay to train new grad with the right fit in personality and values) to join our family owned and operated dental practice.
Our practice mission is to provide dental care in our community with competence, compassion, and commitment.
We have a wonderful team comprised of 2 dentists (see below), 4 assistants, 4 hygienists, and 2 front office members.

Senior Partner/Owner (works 1-2 days per week, 38 years of experience): Philip J. Kroll, DDS, MS, has a Master’s degree in Geriatric Dentistry and Oral Medicine from USC, and is an honored fellow in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and Master of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD). He taught occlusion for nearly 20 years at the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry.
Junior Partner/Owner (works 3-4 days per week, 9 years of experience): Stephanie M. Hwang Kroll, DDS, FAGD graduated with honors from UOP, and is a Fellow of the AGD. She will be earning Mastership in the AGD in 2026, and she is pursuing Graduate status in the Kois curriculum. She taught occlusion at the UCLA Center for Esthetic Dentistry for 5 years, and also served as the Area Director for the Santa Barbara-Ventura County Dental Society for 6 years.
Our practice is an advanced general dentistry practice that provides the following services (among others) — candidate does not need to have experience in all of these services, other than basic preventative, restorative, OS, endo, perio, pedo, and removable cases:
– Preventative dentistry: examinations, x-ray diagnosis, CAMBRA, salivary diagnostics (CariFree and OralDNA), prophylaxis
– Restorative dentistry: composite fillings, same-day inlays/onlays, crowns, bridges with Cerec
– Oral Surgery: implants (single to full arch) and extractions/bone grafts
– Endodontics: initial therapy, internal bleaching
– Orthodontics: clear aligner therapy, retainers
– Cosmetic: composite and porcelain veneers, in-office and at-home whitening
– TMD: orthotics/appliances, Botox
– Periodontics: SRPs and periodontal bacterial management with laser (typically done by hygienists but occasionally dentists), crown lengthening surgery
– Removable: conventional and implant-retained or implant-supported dentures and partials
– Pediatric dentistry: routine preventative care, sealants, basic restorative
– Comprehensive and cosmetic cases: veneers, full mouth rehabilitations, occlusal equilibration
– Sedation dentistry: nitrous oxide, adult oral conscious sedation with triazolam, also can bring in dental anesthesiologist for IV sedation
– Our practice is transitioning to a fee-for-service practice (we are contracted with Cigna PPO only, and will be phasing that out).
– Digital dentistry practice (CAD/CAM with Cerec, 3D printing with Sprint Ray, CBCT with Planmeca Romexis)
– Our practice’s business hours: Monday – Thursday 8:15 AM to 5:15 PM, Friday 8:15 AM to 12:30 PM
Associate Dentist: 1-2 days to start, with growth potential to 3-4 days in the future

– Part-time benefits (ie. CA sick leave, in-house dental benefits, CPR & First Aid renewal every 2 years, CE opportunities)
– Potential for full-time benefits once transitioned to full time (ie. All part-time benefits PLUS Medical insurance, 401k benefits)
– CE opportunities available throughout the year
– Daily minimum $750-850 OR 30% percentage of adjusted production earnings (final daily amount and percentage to be commensurate with candidate’s level of experience), whichever is higher.
– Candidate responsible for their own professional liability insurance, dental license, DEA renewals, and association memberships.
