Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and managing the cleanliness of the treatment area.
Take medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Utilize 3D scanning technology to capture accurate impressions for dental restorations.
Support four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Document patient interactions, treatments, and progress in electronic health records accurately.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
Skills
Strong knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting.
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques relevant to dentistry.
Experience in dental assisting with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Familiarity with 3D scanning technology for precise dental impressions.
Ability to perform four-handed dentistry effectively.
Understanding of endodontics and related procedures is a plus.
Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy relevant to dental health.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Be ready to work and not be on the phone during office hours
