Course objectives:
– This is a Mandatory 2-unit course for dental license renewal
– Requirements for prescribing Schedule II opioids, including CURES checks and e-prescribing.
– When opioid use is clinically appropriate.
– Evidence based alternatives
– Informed consent-especially for minors and high-risk patients
– Signs of opioid misuse and when to refer/adjust plan.
– Practical documentation and tools to stay compliant and protect your license.
