Opportunities to Volunteer

In many of our efforts and programs, we are only as successful as the generosity of our Members.  Two programs we provide, CPR Renewal and the Radiology Safety Course, could simply not happen without your support!  It would be a great loss to every dentist if we did not have these valuable licensing opportunities for SBVCDS members’ staff.  Please help keep it going strong!

Our Radiology Safety Course has, as part of its curriculum, a 4-hour lab session instructed by (at least) 2 volunteers.  There is no training required to be an instructor for this basic technique class, but we do have an Instructor’s Manual as a guide.  These labs are held every two weeks during the school year, except during school holidays (Thanksgiving, Winter Break, etc.).  We are nearly always short of instructors for these classes, so please contact us if you are interested in volunteering as an instructor.

We offer CPR Renewal on the 3rd Tuesday of every month except August and December.  The class is limited to 10 students, and we need at least two volunteer instructors if it’s full (which it almost always is!).  You would be required to complete a one-time training session, at a time coordinated with your schedule.  If you are interested in volunteering as an instructor, please contact us.
